Splurge vs. Steal: Spring Trends

Spring Dupes (1).png

SHOP THE POST

Is anyone else in TOTAL spring mode? I am infinitely over sweaters, chunky knits, and boots. Give me sunshine, eyelet tops, and mojitos, please!

In honor of my current spring mentality, I wanted to channel my warm weather love into a Splurge vs. Steal post.

Eyelet Top

Does anything SCREAM spring quite like eyelet tops? I think not. I've seen 3584953 bloggers post this Somedays Lovin top, and though I adore it, it's not something I would shell out 80 bucks for. The $35 version is definitely speaking more of my language. You guys know I love the BP brand. You've seen me wear it approximately 400 times on Fork & Frill. The brand is super inexpensive, but I've never had an issue with the quality. I love Nordstrom.

Nude Sandals

We all know that the Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandal is supposed to be the pinnacle of nude sandal perfection. Well, I'm going to let you in on a little secret: It's not. I was going to splurge on the SW version when I saw them on super sale at Nordstrom Rack one day, but I tried them on and walked around in them—and honestly? Not impressed. At least not on ME. They weren't flattering on my feet at all, I had an issue with the ankle strap gaping, and the comfort level was null. I have owned at least three pairs of the Steve Madden version, and I am absolutely obsessed. Some people say they're uncomfortable, but I've never had that issue, even when they're brand new. To me, they are a lot more comfortable than the SW version, and they're a fraction of the cost. And did I mention that they literally go with everything?

Do you need them? Yas queen.

Bamboo Bag

Ahh, yes, THE It Bag of spring and summer 2017. And guess what? I've got the scoop that it's not going anywhere anytime soon. I waited too long to pull the trigger on this bad boy last year, but let's just say that was NOT the case this year. Maybe I'm coocoo crazy for cocoa puffs, but I think the Cult Gaia version is worth the investment because it will literally never go out of style. But the Red Dress dupe is definitely easier to swallow. This bag would be THE CUTEST THING styled with sun dresses, denim shorts, and white jeans for spring. UGH! I'm in love.

P.S.: There is another dupe included in the first shopping carousel that I think you'll LOVE. Hint: It involves Target! What are your favorite spring trends for this year? Do you have specific items you want dupes for? Email me at cat@forkandfrill.com or comment below if so!
