The 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is ALMOST HERE, Y'ALL. I know every fashion blogger on the planet has been posting about this sale already (and will continue to post about it for WEEKS), but I just wanted to give you guys the 411 so that I can help you shop the sale the BEST way possible.
If you've been following me for a while, you know that literally half of my wardrobe comes from Nordstrom. I love their variety of clothing, affordable pricing, and quick (and FREE!) shipping/delivery.
It truly is one of my favorite places to shop, so when I say you should shop this sale, you should shop this sale. ;)
I know the constant plugging of the #NSale can be annoying at best and flagrantly disingenuous at worst, but this sale really is one of the BEST sales of the year, so I need you babes to bear with me for a few more weeks while I help all of my followers (and myself ;) ) find the cutest clothes at the best prices during this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Why The Nordstrom Sale is the Shiz
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is important because it isn't like other sales that have discounted or clearance merchandise that has previously been available—NO. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale includes all NEW merchandise that will range from fall clothing, fitness gear, accessories, to beauty, and more. It's truly fantastic. That's why I don't want you guys to miss out.
The reason that this sale is so legendary is because Nordstrom insiders are able to shop discounted fall clothing BEFORE it is available to the public. Um, WHAT. And at a sale price?! Yes, please!
I know shopping for booties and Northface jackets in the 100 degree temps is totally gross, but I would be remiss if I didn't tell you to ignore the heat and humidity for a sec, and add those fabulous fall deals immediately to your virtual shopping carts.
Like, I'm not joking. If you see something you like, buy it immediately. If you're unsure about sizing, buy two, and return the one that doesn't fit. This is no time for indecision. JUST KEEPING IT REAL, Y'ALL.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dates
Early access for Level Four card members: July 11, 2018
Early access for Nordstrom card members: July 12 - July 19, 2018
Public access for all Nordstrom customers: July 20 - August 5, 2018
As the list above indicates, if you have a Nordstrom card, you're in LUCK because that means you get to shop the sale a FULL week early on July 12th through the 19th. If you're a Level 4 cardmember, you can shop it one day even sooner on July 11th.
How to Get Early Access to the Sale
Get a Nordstrom credit card. I know; I know. Another credit card? YES. Sorry, but this is my fave card tbh. You literally need to have it in order to get early access, and you can accumulate major points for additional future discounts. You can apply for your own Nordstrom card here. This is the only store card you'll ever need. Trust me.
What's The Deal With Nordstrom Rewards?
So to be a Nordstrom Rewards member, you don't have to have a Nordstrom credit card, but you can link your Nordstrom card account to your rewards.
According to the Nordstrom website, "Nordstrom Rewards members earn one point per dollar spent when paying with cash, check or a non-Nordstrom credit or debit card. Members receive an email with a link to their Notes, which they can easily scan from their mobile device.
Nordstrom cardmembers earn 2 points per dollar on their Nordstrom credit card purchases in stores or online everywhere they shop with us, earning Notes twice as fast. Nordstrom cardmembers receive an email with a link to their Notes, which they can easily scan from their mobile device. Notes can also be accessed through the Nordstrom app.
Pro Tip: If you’re not ready to spend your Nordstrom Note yet, a salesperson can put the amount on a Nordstrom gift card for you to use at a later time. Just make sure to do this before your Note’s expiration date!"

Nordstrom Sale Tips & Tricks
- Shop now; ask questions later— Don't wait. See something you like? Buy it as soon as you see it. If you wait, it will definitely sell out. Not trying to be dramatic. Just keeping it real.
- Sign up for the Nordstrom credit card— Seriously. If you wait for public access to the Nsale, a lottttt of good stuff is going to be SOLD OUT. Like, completely. I waited for public access a couple of years ago before I got my Nordstrom card, and I really regretted missing out on so many good deals. You honestly have nothing to lose by getting the Nordstrom card. I mean, as long as you make sure to pay it off every month, that is.
- Use my checklist to make sure you're not buying random things but also so that you get what you need— If you shop the sale without a guide, you're prob going to make some impulse buys that are ill advised. Let me help!
- Message me— Seriously I love to help you guys shop. Let me! You can DM me on Instagram, comment here, or email me. Email or DM is the quickest way to get in touch with me.
How Bloggers Can Get Credit From Your Nordstrom Sale Purchases
This is a biggie. As bloggers, we rely on our sales to make commissions. This means we're kind of at your mercy when it comes to check out time. I'm going to add a Nordstrom tab to my highlights on Instagram explaining this, but I wanted to touch on everything in this post as well.
How it Works
When you make a purchase after you click on a blogger's affiliate link, that blogger gets a small percentage from your total sale. That's how we are able to monetize our blogs and keep them going and filled with meaningful content for all of our fabulous followers. If you shop a blogger's site or buy items she's recommended, you can think of her earned commission as a "finder's fee." This finder's fee is how we are able to pay for our sites and other costs associated with blogging.
What You Click Last Matters ... A lot
So if you click on two different bloggers' links, the one you click on last before you check out on the website is the one who gets credit for the sale. Even if you didn't buy any items that blogger recommended, if you click on her link last, she gets the sale. To ensure your favorite blogger gets credit, just make sure you click on your favorite's link before you check out on the website. The link you click on from the blogger doesn't have to be of an item you are purchasing, but it DOES have to be from the same store or site you are checking out on.
You can make sure I get the credit for all of your sales by DMing or emailing me for a link OR (even easier!), just click on any of the Nordstrom links on my Nordstrom sale tab. You can also access a Nordstrom link on the lower right corner of my homepage here. As long as you didn't click on any other bloggers' links after mine, I will get the credit.
Feel free to message me if you are in any way confused about this! I know it's a lot of info!
IMPORTANT: I've had a few of questions about whether or not bloggers can get credit from Nordstrom app sales. WE CAN'T. So just keep that in mind while shopping the Nsale. If you want a blogger to get credit for the sale, you have to buy from your browser or outside the Nordstrom sale app. Bloggers also do not get credits for Instagram Swipe Up purchases UNLESS that purchase is made THEN, like right when you swipe up on the product. We don't get credit if you swipe up on a product, then buy it later. You have to make a purchase immediately if you want a blogger to get credit from the Instagram Swipe Up feature.
How You Can Shop The Sale From Fork & Frill
As I mentioned, the easiest way to shop the Nordstrom sale from Fork & Frill is to click on my Nordstrom sale tab. I will be constantly updating that this week, so make sure you check back each day (even better if it's throughout the day). You can also shop the sale by clicking on the word "Nordstrom" on my homepage (under "Shop My Style). I will also be linking sale items through my LIKEtoKNOW.it and on my Instagram. I don't have the swipe up feature on Instagram unfortunately, but I am going to leave the link to my Nordstrom sale page in my bio. And if you want any specific links or need helping with anything at all, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I hope this Nordstrom Anniversary Sale guide was helpful! Please comment or email me if you have any questions whatsoever!
