Cheap Frills: Spooky Chic Looks for Friday the 13th

# 1.jpg

If you know me at all, you know I'm obsessed with today. I love October, Fridays, and the number 13, so is today like my favorite day on earth? Basically. I love October because the month starts with my birthday and ends with Halloween, and this month we have a spooky holiday right in the middle ~loves it.~

I love scary movies, creepy costumes, and all things ooh-and-ahh for Halloween, so I thought I would compile a pre-All Hallow's Eve list of spooky lewks that you can rock all October long. (All under $100—per the ushje! That's an abbrev for usual, to be clear.)

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in "Chill Zone," $24, Macy's: I'm ob-sessed with this color. I bought it last year around this time, and I wear it throughout the cooler (and spookier!) months for a look that is equal parts creep and chic. It is the perfect gray/blue that will make you look like you are "like, literally dead."

Express Tie Sleeve Split Back Cropped Sweater in Rust, $35, Express: I may or may not have just purchased this. It's the most amazing rust hue for fall, and I love that the sleeve ties look a little straitjacket-esque. Creepy much? Fun fact: I used to work at Express in college, and I swear their stuff has gotten even 10000 x cuter since then. It doesn't hurt that they constantly have 40% off sales.

Wildfox Couture X-Ray Vision Sweatshirt, $108, Nordstrom: Ok, I know this is a little over 100, but it's close, and it's too cute not to include. I love Wildfox's witchy vibes, and this throw-on-and-go piece is as cute as it is creeptastic. Perf for Halloween.

Urban Outfitters Truly Madly Deeply Skull Tee, $34, UO: I love Urban. My style is mix of like 12 different fashion personalities, and UO always appeals to my inner emo kid. This top is business in the front and party in the back, and you could totally get away with wearing it to the office for Halloween if you slip an orange or rust camisole underneath and throw your hair in a high bun, and add a pencil skirt. Super cute and easy. My fave. Psssst: UO is having a 13% off sale today/online ONLYGet itttt.

Free People Sweet Secrets Lace Turtleneck, $40, Revolve: Lol did you think I could get through an entire list without mentioning something from Free People? Fat chance. This top is EVERYTHING. It can go over or under anything, and it is so vampy chic for fall and winter. It's so beyond difficult to look sexy during cooler temps, make it easy on yourself and BUY THIS TOP immediately. It looks great with jeans, cut offs, leather skirts, and jumpers. You neeeed it.

Stay tuned for next week's edition of Cheap Frills. It's all about scarves for fall! <3
