Cotton Candy Fur and Two Other Transitional Closet Staples

Here we are again. That weird transition period between winter and spring. One day it's 70; the next day it's 45. These are few closet staples I keep reaching for when I need to layer in the morning and strip down by mid-afternoon. They are also good to have on hand when Monday is frigid, and Tuesday is desert times.

Faux fur: I'm a huge fan of layering, so faux fur anything is a must-have for me. I purchased this Show Me Your Mumu Bohemia Jacket (which is unfortunately sold out) last season from Mercantile in Seaside, Florida. I personally love a statement jacket, so when I saw this one was on sale, I had to have it. It also came in cream, which I was equally obsessed with. Super sad that it sold out, but I've linked a few alternatives that I will definitely be deciding between when *TaX sEaSoN* is done, y'all.

Distressed denim: Ripped jeans are all. the. rage. right now. Honestly, I've loved this trend for years, and you'll have to pry my distressed denim from my freshly manicured hands when it's "out." The jeans I'm pictured in are the BDG Twig High-Rise Skinny Jeans from Urban Outfitters. They are a literal dream. I have thick thighs and an a-double-s, so I understand the need for comfortable material that can encompass all my goodies. I have these jeans with double knee holes, one distressed knee (as pictured), and in black. And I love each pair equally. They are wearable, adorable, and on trend. I've also linked a few more options that I either own or covet.

Tights: Legwear has a new twist this season. Leggings and tights are not only worn under dresses and skirts; they're now peeking out beneath holey jeans, too. I am lovin' the fishnet fad, but I do admit that this facet of the legwear trend doesn't provide much warmth for those cooler moments. Although, I appreciate that fishnets look edgy without being too thematic. But for those of you who have a two degree temperature comfort zone *raises hand*, I've also included some fuller-coverage tights that might offer a bit more protection from the whistling winds. I didn't include my exact pair (I may or may not have gotten them from the Halloween store), but I linked some other fishnet beauties that I have my eyes on (love the white ones!).
