Ice Roller

So I finally broke down and bought an ice roller this year. Thanks to Lauryn of The Skinny Confidential, I have heard about ice rolling for months (years?). For me, 2017 was the time to finally pull the trigger. Over the years, I have read that certain super models and actresses SWEAR by applying ice to their faces each morning (Kate Moss, Eva Mendes, and Lisa Evangelista—just to name a few). The ice roller takes this same premise and decreases the cons by 2,000%. When I'm in a tight, aka forgot to pack my ice roller, a piece of ice gets the job done, but nothing quite compares to the ease of the ice roller.  In short, ice rolling helps depuff, shrinks pores, and reduces redness—yes, please! Read more about the benefits here; they're endless. And did I mention it costs less than most green juices?

Frozen Eye Pads

You can imagine my boyfriend's surprise when I told him I was putting eye pads in the freezer. (He heard "iPads," hence the confusion.) But these little guys, much like the ice roller, are best served COLD. I love these, and I pop mine into the freezer for 5-10 minutes before I need to use them. Eye pads are essential when eliminating tired, puffy eyes, and they also help reduce the appearance of dark circles, broken capillaries, and fine lines. You already know how I feel about freezing things (see above), so adding my fave eye pads to the freezer is a no-brainer.

Glowy Skin Procedure

You all know I love to talk about my experiences at Spa Novus, and Forma has to be one of my fave procedures. According to Leslie Sale Baker (my go-to skin guru), "Forma is a non invasive, painless skin tightening procedure that uses radio frequency to create deep dermal heating and collagen remodeling." Essentially, it feels like a hot stone massage, and it can leave your skin looking younger, more glowy, and tighter—yas, queen. "Forma is safe and effective for all skin types, and it can used year-round to stimulate your own collagen productions." Added benefits: increased hydration, clearer complexion, and less acne scarring. If you're a local or are willing to travel to The Dot, hit Leslie up because she is The. Best. You can also join her FB group here to learn more about all things beauty/laser and gain access to some killer deals.

Magic Curling Iron

I literally despise "doing my hair." My hair is super thick and long, so fixing my hair is a process. I always feel sweaty and overwhelmed when blow drying, so by the time I get to the step of actually curling my hair, I am totally over the entire process. That was until I met this majestic curling iron. I have owned COUNTLESS curling irons over the past decade, but this is one of maybe two or three that I haven't hated. I actually love it. It gets hot af (which I love until I burn my thumb—happens every time), and it gives me Caila Quinn curls in less than five minutes. The best part? It's available at Target and is only $22. You need it.  10/10 would recommend.

Life-changing Contour Palette

Full disclosure: I still don't totally "get" contouring, but this palette + a couple YouTube tutorials have totally changed the game for me. I rarely do a "full" contour situation, but I literally use this palette daily even if it's just for the highlight and bronzer. I love that it's a mix of creams and powders; the consistency of each is unreal. This palette is so necessary and a great addition to any beauty closet.

The Lengthening Mascara That Won't Let You Down

I used this mascara in college, and I honestly don't know why I ever stopped. The formula is great, the application is a breeze, and the results are fabulous. My favorite mascara ever is this one, but L'Oreal's Telescopic is a very close second. It's also much easier to obtain (the CoverGirl one is often unavailable in stores), so that makes it my fave of 2017. I have so many mascara pet peeves: I hate clumps, I hate thick formulas, and I hate weird scents. This mascara doesn't have any of those things, and I literally get asked if I'm wearing falsies/have lash extensions every time I wear it. You're welcome.
